5 Weeks Already!

At five weeks of age, getting out all 10 of Tana‘s puppies at once was adventurous!  (Click on Tana’s name for more about mom.More about dad here.)  At first the puppies had to explore and tug on pant legs for a while.

After a few minutes, though, the puppies found a lap or a leg to lean on, and settled in. At this age, their personalities are just beginning to emerge.

After our pictures were taken we all just hung out with our sleepy puppies for a while.  Nothing so relaxing as a sleeping puppy in your lap.  If you notice the bright blue eyes of the puppies, they are all blue at this age because the pigment that makes them hazel or brown will show up in a few weeks.

Our friends came for New Years’,  and their baby loved to snuggle the puppies. But in this particular picture,  he also bit his sister’s hand just as I snapped the photo! We might need to make sure he doesn’t bite the dog!

10 Perfect Stocking Stuffers!

Their eyes are opening! 2 weeks old tomorrow,  and the puppies have eaten and slept and pooped and tripled in size (at least),  and they’re ready to take off in their development. At this age,  puppies just need warmth and nourishment and their mom. We spend a lot of time watching,  a little cleaning (though Tana still does most of the work),  and only a little holding. But soon….  Our children can’t wait for permission to hold them for extended time. We still have a black male and females available. Let us know if you have any questions!
